This road that ran from Chicago to California, was far more than just a grey two lane highway. It carried its travelers to delicious diners, comfortable motels, and scenic sights. Most importantly Route 66 was a road to a second chance. It was the route you took to a grand new start. It was the Highway of Dreams.

Wendy is a visual artist who holds a B. F. A. in the visual arts. Early in her career she developed a unique style of acrylic paint and fabric wall hangings. These can be found in private collections in the United States and Canada. Wendy has worked as a scene painter for the McKinney Theater at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California and for the Red Earth Theatre in Sedona, Arizona. Presently she designs and constructs themed dioramas. Wendy’s most recent accomplishment is her Route 66 diorama and map presentation.
